🚗 Speed Test UK – Payment Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing Speed Test UK, the sister company of Speed Booking UK, dedicated to sourcing fast-track driving tests outside of London. Please read these terms carefully before making a payment. By paying via bank transfer or Stripe, you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to the following:

✅ Confirmation of Booking

Once your test is booked, you’ll receive official confirmation directly from the DVSA. This will include:

  • Date and time of your test

  • Test centre location

  • Booking reference number

You can also log into the DVSA website at any time to view your booking or request a confirmation email. We may ask you to send us a screenshot for our records.

💳 Payment Methods

We accept:

  • Bank Transfer (preferred – fast and no processing fees)

  • Stripe Online Payment Link – Accepts:

    • Debit/Credit Card

    • Amex

    • Apple Pay

    • Klarna (Pay over 3/4 months – subject to eligibility)

Returning customers may request payment after booking confirmation in certain cases.

💸 Refunds – Unsuccessful Bookings

In rare cases, DVSA test submissions may fail. If this happens, you’ll have two options:

  1. Full refund (100%) returned immediately

  2. Rebooking option – We’ll continue searching for a test at no extra cost, we aim to find another driving test within 48 hours!

❌ Cancellations by Customer

If you cancel your test after booking, you’re eligible for a DVSA fee refund only:

  • £62 for weekday tests

  • £75 for weekend tests

Please note: Admin & service fees are non-refundable.

⚠️ Failed Bookings Due to Customer Error

If your booking fails due to incorrect or missing info (e.g., expired theory test, licence mismatch, wrong vehicle type, recent test within 10 working days, or typos), we will:

  • Deduct a £30 admin fee to cover costs

  • Issue the balance as a refund

Please triple-check all details before confirming your booking. We cannot refund the full amount for customer errors.

📝 Typo Policy

If you accidentally input incorrect details (e.g., licence number or theory test ID), your booking may fail. A £30 fee will be charged to cover the loss, and we’ll refund the remaining amount.

🛑 External Factors & DVSA Changes

The DVSA may change your test date due to:

  • Examiner absence

  • Bad weather

  • Strike action

These changes are outside our control. If this happens, the DVSA will reschedule your test within 30 days or notify you of changes. You may then contact them directly to rearrange if needed.

Speed Test UK is not liable for changes made by the DVSA.

🔁 Test Swaps & Rebooking

If you already have a test booked:

  • We’ll need to cancel your existing test before we can submit a new one.

  • DVSA refunds the original fee in 2–5 working days.

  • In some cases, we can swap your test without cancelling. We’ll deduct the DVSA fee from your payment and charge admin fees only.

🔄 Can I Change My Test Date?

Some agencies allow swaps, others don’t. Please ask us before booking if your date may need to change. Fees range from £30–£90 depending on agency rules.

⏱ Booking Timeframes

  • Confirmations are typically sent within 2 - 48 hours

  • During weekends or busy periods, this may take up to 48 hours

  • Our servers are only live Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm

You will be notified by WhatsApp as soon as your booking is confirmed.

🚘 Manual vs Automatic Bookings

All tests booked are valid for either manual or automatic, depending on the vehicle you bring on the day.
Passing in:

  • Manual = Can drive both

  • Automatic = Can drive automatic only

📉 After a Failed Test

You must wait 10 working days before retaking your test. Tests booked too soon will fail automatically, and may incur a £10–£30 charge.

🛠 Special Manual Test Bookings (After Passing in Automatic)

If you passed your test in an automatic and now want a manual licence, please contact us directly.
This is a more complex process and may:

  • Require DVSA approval

  • Cost £230+ depending on the agency and location

  • Take extra time to arrange

We only share your data with trusted DVSA-approved partners for booking purposes. Your information is stored securely and never shared with third parties without consent.

🧾 Why Prices Vary

Prices start from £190 including DVSA fees & VAT, but may vary depending on:

  • Test centre demand

  • Booking urgency

  • Agency sourcing fees

All pricing is inclusive of VAT where applicable.
